| Objective:To investigate prognostic implications of clinicah lung disease and physiological variables and TCM syndrome integral on the influence of the prognosis of patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), and evaluate the effect of treatment with Chinese medicine. Methods:Collection of china-japan friendship hospital in October2007to October2012by pathological or clinical diagnosis of IPF patients, and all patients in2000ATS/ERS or the Chinese medical association respiratory branch of noninvasive diagnostic criteria of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Collect their general data (age, gender, smoking, BMI, work), clinical examination (ESR, blood gas analysis, pulmonary function,6minute walk test), SGRQ and TCM syndrome integral, treatment, etc. To master the survival in these patients, and apply survival analysis to review evaluation of each factor’s influence on the survival period. Results:In this study, a total of48patients with IPF collect, during the period of follow-up of60months, including30cases of death,18cases were survival, and overall survival rate was37.5%, the median survival time was37.35months after diagnosis. The univariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed that TCM syndrome integral, BMI,6minutes walk test and FVC%, TLC%, DLCO%, PO2, ESR, clubbing fingers were the main factors affected the prognosis of patients with IPF (P<0.05); Between groups through the analysis of the Kaplan Meier-test (the univariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis grouping median as Cutoff values) survival rate showed that body mass index, TCM syndrome integral,6minutes walk test and TLC%, DLCO%, PO2, ESR, clubbing fingers were stat istical ly significant (P<0.05), the Kaplan-Meier test after the intervention of TCM survival between groups have no statistical significance (P>0.05); The multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed that BMI (P=0.005),6minutes walk test (P=0.021), ESR (P=0.016) were the main influence factors of the prognosis of patients with IPF.Conclusions:BMI, TCM syndrome integral,6minutes walk test and TLC%, DLCO%, PO2, ESR, clubbing fingers were the influence factors of the prognosis of patients with IPF, including BMI,6minutes walk test, ESR were the main influence factors; long-term treatment of Chinese medicine has no effect on the prognosis of patients with IPF. |
