The process of TCM clinical decision-making can be affected by a variety of factors, being very complicated. It is not simply a process of subjective consumption, but of close analysis of the manifestation and nature of a disease, through which the cause, nature, site and tendency of it shall be decided after combining massive collection of clinical materials with TCM knowledge, so the optimal treatment scheme can be established. The guidance of clinical thinking is required if a TCM doctor is to figure out the nature of a patient’s disease. Complicated and unique as the thoughts of him can in clinical settings, some law is not impossible to be identified. Here1propose to make sure through which methods the doctors collect and deliver medical information and how they categorize and manage them by doing a research under the guidance of thinking science, cognition science and systems science.Purpose:1. To study the processes and methods of TCM clinical decision-making and explore the law of their thoughts;2. To study the process of diagnosis-treatment under the guidance of cognitive schema, and this will contribute to subjectivity, connectivity and complexity as well as contribute to a better analysis of the doctors" thoughts, so how they search, retrieve and apply the knowledge can be probed.;3. To make tentative exploration of applying characterization method into the area of TCM and of the simulation of the doctors" cognitive schema with the method of mind map. This will help fully understand the knowledge hierarchy of TCM diagnosis-treatment, producing the potential value and social significance of this reseach. Methods:This paper is completed under the financial aid of the followingresearches: Research into Cognitive Model of TCM Diagnosis-Treatment Based on Automatic Question and Answer System (No.30873461), Research into TCM Diagnosis-Treatment Methods Based on Cognitive Process (No.90409005),and innovative team of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine "(No:0100603003) funding. First, sufficient access to the literature of the past, under the guidance of TCM theory, from a multidisciplinary perspective of thinking, cognitive science, and Decision Sciences depth of the thought process of the Chinese clinical analysis of the characteristics and laws of the Chinese clinical decision-making; Then, Analysis analog medical clinics thinking, introducing mind mapping doctors who were characterized by cognitive schemata theory with practice combined with organic. Results: This research has been performed under the State Natural Science Fundingd "The cognitive modes of TCM diagnosis-treatment based on automatic question and answering system"(No.30873461) and "The met hod for TC’M diagnosis-treatment based on the method of cognitive process"(No.90409005) as well as the funding from "Innovation Team of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine"(No.0100603003). Analysis of the decision-making process of Chinese medicine from the perspective of cognitive science, we believe that the The Chinese clinical decision-making process is a knowledge application analysis, a combination of cognitive activities, medical use of Chinese thinking to clinical problems. In this process, the doctors" thinking is characterized by the macroscopic, hierarchic and complicated levels, which make the TCM diagnosis-treatment systematic. The formation of the correct diagnosis and treatment Figure style premise of clinical science and decision-making; thinking mapping simulation healer cognitive Figure type of healer is how to retrieve, extract, and were characterized by the process of medical knowledge, help to find the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the key knowledge point knowledge with these key points combined knowledge of the formation of conditions for the latter to build Chinese medicine clinics knowledge database, providing entry points and theoretic foundation for the automatic retrieval of knowledge. Conclusion: Chinese medicine, with its unique system of theories, has the researches of the doctors" diagnosis-treatment experience and law as the key element of knowledge transfer, which guide the formation, develop and innovation of its theories. Decision-making is an important part of clinical practice, however, the doctors, due to their difference in knowledge amount and experience, have obvious difference in the ability of cognizing the diseases, and sometimes the gap is not small. For this reason, the study of such a process from the perspective of cognition science, thinking science and systems science will help us find out our thinking process, and thereby consciously follow some thinking law. This can provide thinking methods and approaches for the TCM clinical diagnosis-treatment, significantly improving its efficiency, which can finally develop into systematic theories and methods.
