Yu Daoshan, who has a style name as Dachuan and Hao as Xingchu, is a famousdoctor during late Qing Dynasty. He wrote the book named Zhong Jing GuinnessBook. The book has a total of five volumes (six sections), the first three volumesinclude in-depth analyses of the book Treatise on Febrile Diseases written byZhongjing, with proof from a combination of Yunnan local culture, social, cultural,climatic conditions, and etc. The book also collected some prescriptions added bysome famous physicians in Yunnan based on their clinical experience. There weretotally353additional prescriptions and29revised prescriptions. The last two aresister volumes of Fatal disease theory which was a summary of the clinical experiencefrom Doctor Yu and his fellows. In this paper, the theory of traditional Chinesemedicine, methods, and logic are applied. References include Treatise on FebrileDiseases and Golden Jade letter of methodology by Wang Shuhe. The author firstcorrected the missing punctuations in Zhong Jing Guinness Book, and then analyzedthe notes with reference to some articles of Treatise on Febrile Diseases and extractedthe academic theory of Zhong Jing Guinness Book. This paper introduced YuDaoshan’s the personal life and his writings and validated the versions of Zhong JingGuinness Book, the academic background,and cultural background. The paper alsodiscussed the compilation and annotation features of Zhong Jing Guinness Book, thetheories of The Six of dialectic and The Eight class of dialectic as well as the organsand meridians dialectical point of views. The paper also includes the research of thecharacteristics of the prescriptions, the theories of the spleen and stomach, andnational medication, which were discussed in Zhong Jing Guinness Book.The author believes that correcting the punctuations and researching on theacademic theories of Zhong Jing Guinness Book expand Zhongjing theory and makeit more applicable to the usage of clinical treatment in the regions with nationalcharacteristics. Another by research, Zhong Jing Guinness Book is the only existingcopy. No new edition has been published within the80years after the Republic ofChina was established. This research is the first one after the republic of China wasestablished. Therefore, the research has delivered some innovation and exploration.
