With the increasing pressure for people to work and improvement of living standard, medical science has got great focus of attention gradually. Acupuncture and massage is the core of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and it is the cornerstone of the whole traditional Chinese medicine theory system, which has huge contribution to human in medical care. Traditional Chinese medicine therapy operates in the acupuncture points, and the effect of the disease treatment by location accuracy of the acupuncture points. In this thesis, a method of developing automatic search of acupuncture points on back based on ARM micro-controller has been expatiated on systematically. It has a very important application value, and has become one of the most challenging and leading subjects in the medical robot field.Based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory and the embedded technology, this thesis focuses on the Android system ARM, embedded system, closed loop motion control technology and stepping motor subdivision driver technology in the design of intelligence positioning system of acupuncture points. The meridians localization algorithm, the error estimation and the cause of the error has been studied. The automatic location system is to be improved by promoting the control method in order to positioning acupuncture points accurately. There are several aspects have been discussed in the following:Firstly, the location arithmetic at present and the research situation at home and abroad have been introduced detailed. According to the national standard of the People’s Republic of12346-90which provides the statistical distribution of the acupuncture points, the localization algorithm has been studied to provide the theoretical basis for positioning system.Secondly, the system adopts two-stage microprocessor system structure. The upper computer is designed using Android system. On one hand, it provides friendly interface to achieve the man-machine interactive function. One the other hand, it provide orders for the lower computer through serial communication in order to achieve the positioning function. The thesis describes the composition of the hardware under the lower computer, and analyzes the implementation method of the lower computer hardware circuit. The two dimension control system has been designed by LPC2148as the core. The methods of the speed and direction controlling of the stepper motor through the PWM pulse signal has been discussed. The lower computer prepares application system to make sure that the location system can positioning thirty acupuncture points on back accurately.Thirdly, relevant control experiment has been designed, and the error has been analyzed, which verify the reliability and repeatability of the system. The location system has attended the13th China International Hi-Tech Fair exhibition, and been praised widely.Finally, the shortcomings and defects of the system have been analyzed, and extensive room for progression has been proposed. The further research of the system in the future has been put forward.
