A magnetic bearing is a new-style and high-performance bearing that supports a load using magnetic levitation, it has been extensively applied in industry. At present, the technology of magnetic suspension bearing abroad is leading, but in our country, most of the research is still in the laboratory.Magnetic suspension bearing consists of mechanical and electronic control system, but the electronic control system is more critical. According to the need of the engineering application, axial magnetic suspension bearing is as the research object in this paper. The research is focused on the the electronic control system. The dominant idea is to design a quick response, good control performance, economic and practical electronic control system.The main work and achievements in his paper:1. The optimization design of the eddy current sensor displacement detection circuit is researched;the key is how to improve the sensitivity and stability of displacement detection. Therefore, some measures are taken in the incentive source, amplification processing circuit and so on. Results show that the sensitivity of the displacement detection can be15mV/μm above. It can fully meet the requirements of the magnetic suspension bearing;2. Power amplifier of the magnetic suspension bearing is analyzed, and the PWM power amplifier is designed. It has some good performance and economic characteristics, for example, the circuit structure is easy to realize, easy to control, and the circuit structure is simple.3. The PID controller is designed, which is based on PID control strategy, and the circuit consisting of the PID controller is completed by analog circuit. The selective analysis is on the P, I, D parameters’influence of the control system. And the empirical method for parameter setting is in the parameter setting. Experimental results show that the controller can satisfy the requirements of rapid response and accurate control.A complete set of axial magnetic suspension bearing system is built in this paper, control system performance is tested and the results show that the control system can be a very good control; the shaft can realize stable suspension. The most important is that the system has a good position control accuracy and large dynamic stiffness. The research work provides a useful reference for the development of multi-degree of freedom magnetic bearing, it has important practical value.
