ATR is a base dimmension series of normal aerial (air) navigation electronical case. It is formulated by international military standand, which is GJB448-88"Fitting form and basic dimensions for avionics cases and racking". The coefficient of case width is1/8ATR, a width unit,(25.4mm). It is divided or assembled on a base of on1ATR width. In my institute two dimension cases are usually used, which are1ATR and2ATR.With the development of science technology, the density of radar electronic equipment is becoming higher and higher. This causes the thermal density higher and higher directly. Traditional nature scatter and force air cooling are not able to fulfill the scatter need of aero radar electronic equipment. In aero radar, because of the bad condition the radar electronic equipment must work between-55℃~+85℃. This puts forward higher requirement of structure thermal design. In order to resolve the increasing scatter contradiction of radar electronic unit, this paper researches the thermal ability of liquid cooling case.On the base of feature of1ATR and2ATR case, the thermal ability of liquid cooling case is decided by the cooling plate radiator. In this paper, different structure liquid cooling plate radiator is disscused. Traditional experiential method and finite element analytical method are used to analyse the ability of cooling plate radiator and compared. And a sample part is manufactured to measure thermal ability. Measured result is analysised with calculated result. A structure is found to accord with engineer aplication, which makes the thermal ability the highest. Preasently the structure is used in our products. Aftertime a method which associates erperiential method with finite element method is acquired in engineer aplication to increase efficiency and precision.
