Jet vane which was used widely is one of the thrust vector control methods. The high temperature alloy jet vane with weighty quality will reduce the effciency of missile. In order to solve the problem, the carbon/phenolic composite materials was used to realize the lightweight of jet vane in this paper.First of all, established the plasma ablation test bench for the experimental research of carbon/phenolic composite material sample in three different ablation conditions. And got average quality ablation rate and ablation morphology analysis of the sample. The study results indicated that carbon/phenolic composite materials had good ablation performance in high speed and high temperature jet. Then, according to the working principle of jet vane, design principles and basic requirements, the aerodynamics layout, rudder surface shape and profile of design of the carbon/phenolic composite material jet vane were researched. And exploit Fluent software with function of flow thermal coupling numerical simulation analysis to research two different tine and arc leading edge of jet vane. Then obtained the internal temperature field distribution of two different rudder. The results of numerical simulation show that the arc front could improve the ablation resistance performance of jet vane. And then, three dimensional gas phase flow characteristic of the carbon/phenolic composite jet vane in nine different working conditions which included five different rotation angles of follow-up and differential had been numerical simulated. In the different working conditions, the temperature, pressure and velocity distribution of flow field around the jet vane and surfaces of jet vane would been obtained, as well as included the variation of lift and drag of jet vane. Finally, vibration characteristics and fluid-structure coupling analysis of the carbon/phenolic composite jet vane had been completed. By using structure analysis module of Ansys software for modal analysis, it is concluded that the gas rudder natural frequency and the corresponding vibration mode. By using Ansys Workbench for completing flow-solid coupling analysis of jet vane, analysis to get deformation and stress distribution of jet vane under the condition of20°rotation angle. The study results indicated that carbon/phenolic composite jet vane was feasible on the structure.
