Different Materials On The Research Of Rdx Surface Coated

High energy propellant has been the goal of propellant, an effective way is to increase the high explosive component content in the propellant, but with the component content increasing, at low temperatures " wet" phenomenon will happen when the propellant under certain load. Coating is a very good way to prevent this phenomenon occurs. This article is based on the GAP, NC, HTPB, salicylic acid lead as a coating material for coating RDX, and to study the mechanism of coating and the coating conditions’effect on the coating.Taking GAP as coating agent, use solvent evaporation method and water suspension method to coat RDX. Research shows, coating has little negative effects on the thermal stability of RDX. Simultaneous analyse temperature and coating material’s storage time on the coating effect.NC coated RDX is by phase separation method and water suspension emulsion method. Phase separation method’s coated sample’s covering degree is49%, and66%for aqueous suspension emulsion method. DSC test shows the thermal stability has no significant difference before and after the coating. At the same time, we do the research on the influence of process parameters on the coating. And aqueous suspension method optimal coating process is:ethyl acetate/water=20%, stirring speed is1000r/min.Take HTPB as coating agent to coat RDX, coated samples’reunion phenomenon is serious. Then use TNT to coat composite particles coated by HTPB to made good fluidity sample. And the study of the mechanism of composite coating, analyse the experimental conditions effect on the coating.Lead salicylate is a kind of burning rate catalysts; we take it to coat on RDX by chemical co precipitation method.After the coating, the coated degree is51.2%. The RDX activity is enhanced when lead salicylate coated on RDX, the coating make the composite particles’ thermal decomposition temperature in advance, thermal stability is changed after the coating.
