The wind tunnel test is an important part of the design of a spacecraft.The moving platform is an important device in the wind tunnel test.This platform dynamically simulates the specified positions and postures which are required by the model. At present, the3-DOF postures of the model are changed at the same time by only a few moving devices (local or overseas),and they are all wire-driven manipulators.However,this kind of manipulator has some unavoidable defects for the application of the wind tunnel test. Therefore, the multiple DOF rigid moving device has been proven better than the wire-driven moving devices in the high-speed dynamic system.This subject makes the configuration optimization of a6-DOF parallel mechanism,in order to design a moving platform which is met the requirement of the wind tunnel dynamic test, and its mechanism and kinematics is analyzed. The formula of its inverse kinematics is deduced, The picture of its working space is drawn up by matlab.The scalar indicator of the stiffness of parallel mechanism is described, which are based on the definition of stiffness,combined with its Jacobian. After that the stiffness is analyzed with an example of the design moving platform and a6-DOF parallel mechanism in the same position. It can provide a basis for the configuration design and optimization later.And then the article has made a parametic design and optimal design to analyze the mechanism by ADAMS, the parametric model is made, and the multi-objective optimizational function is built, experimental designs are made at last.We deal with optimal design,according to the velocities and sensitivities of the structure. The size of the moving platform is determined,which is based on the best combined parameters.The practical manipulator has been built, then we build up its hardware of control system and joint the lines of its control. The motional control experiments have been implemented according to both theory analysis and numerical simulation above. The mutual validation between the motion control experiments and the theory analysis are feasible, and makes a good foundation for the practical application.The study of the new moving platform in the wind tunnel test provides a technical mean for the dynamic experiment. It has great value in application and significant meaning for the study of the aerodynamics and new vehicles.
