Continuous Light Source Atomic Absorption Spectrometer Application In Environmental Analysis

This paper described a new type atomic absorption spectrometer used for environment analysis.Chapter1introduced the special characteristic of the high-resolution continuum source atomic absorption spectrometer (CS-AAS) other than the current commercial line source atomic absorption spectrometers. Also, the subject and its significance were presented in this chapter.Chapter2described using this new type CS-AAS spectrometer for the analysis of water sediment in thermos wall. Experimental methodology and parameters were presented, some heavy metals have been determined.Chapter3described the determination of some heavy metals in soil samples, by using the new type spectrometer with the graphite furnace atomizer.Chapter4described a direct solid sample introduction technique for analysis of cigarette paper with such new spectrometer.In the last chapter, Chapter5, a short conclusion for the characteristic and applications of this new instrument were presented.
