Balloon catheters, an important medical device for interventional treatment, are widely used in various medical fields. Balloon products used in PTCA need to pass extremely long and narrow blood vessels to reach the lesion, and then open the stenosis by inflate. It requests thin wall and great strength of the balloon. Polyether-polyamide block copolymers (Pebax) which contain both the characteristics of polyether and polyamide, is the ideal materials for the preparation of PTCA balloon tubes through precision extrusion process. In this paper, Pebax7233was used as raw materials, and a series of Pebax tubes were obtained by precision extrusion. Then the tubes were made into balloons by blow-molding process. Structure and property changes during the process were discussed by means of FTIR, DSC, DMA, TGA, XRD, SEM and Rheometer. The effect of processing conditions such as extrusion temperature and pressure on the structure and properties of balloon were also studied. It is shown that in the selected processing parameters, the extruded polymer tubes and the balloons had a good batch of stability, the influence of extrusion conditions on the tube is mainly reflected in the degree of crystallinity and orientation.
