Since the beginning of the twentieth century, with the rapid development of the global economy, the increase in population and human living standards gradually improved, the world’s energy consumption continues to grow. At present, the world’s energy consumption, the vast majority comes from fossil fuels. The three fossil (energy coal, oil and natural gas) is gradually consumed. The energy crisis will become a severe issue the world will face. As a result, many countries are actively looking for the new energy. Solar energy because of its inexhaustible, inexhaustible, clean, safe, and so on, is considered the most potential power generation. Research of Solar photovoltaic power generation system, will alleviate the energy crisis, reduce the pollution of the environment and the greenhouse effect.Since solar cell array is the key component and energy source of photovoltaic generation system, the research on simulation model of solar cell array is vital to the research on simulation model of photovoltaic generation system. This paper build a simulation model of solar cell array based on the ideal model and the actual mathematical model of silicon solar cells, analyzes the influence of the change of solar irradiation and solar cell temperature on the accuracy of output of solar cell array simulation model. Based on a simulation model of the solar array, the MATLAB simulation model of maximum power point tracking based on the Boost DC-DC converter is built, and simulation results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis.Based on the previous theoretical analysis, taking the solar power system of a gas station with stand-alone mode in Sichuan as a background and relying on it, this paper analyzes the various components of the stand-alone PV generation system. In order to solve the problem of photoelectric conversion efficiency and investment costs of solar panels, so put forward use the solar panel of widely used to independent photovoltaic power generation system as photovoltaic array. In order to solve the problem of battery failure affect the system for normal operation, so given the options for maintaining the gel VRLA batteries to as energy storage devices of independent photovoltaic power generation system. How to make Lead-acid batteries more reasonable for charging and discharging, suggest chose PV controller which function with solar panels prevent anti-charge, battery over charge and over discharge. About the problem for different loads, select sine wave inverter to suitable this system.Finally, through the analysis of the economic and environmental benefit of the entire independent photovoltaic power generation system. It can be seen, although the cost of solar photovoltaic power generation system is slightly higher than the power grid, with the support of various policies, some areas which are not easy to provide power, independent photovoltaic system is still the best choice. The photovoltaic system as a green energy, will become the first choice for the development of new energy sources.
