Cabling system is a standard structured cabling system which synthesized language,data, images and other information technology. It is also a transmission network ofbuilding or buildings. As the popularity of network technology. Due to thepopularization of the network technology, more and more enterprises and administrativeunits use the network system. Compared with the traditional office model, it improvesthe working efficiency significantly. Compared with the past any period, today’snetwork has increasingly become the core of the enterprise. The planning, configuration,maintenance and management efficiency of the network are key factors whether anenterprise can obtain the success.Development of information technology and increasing of networking applicationsmake the network infrastructure more and more complicated. With the expansion ofbusiness, the network continues to expand scale. The management of networkinfrastructure becomes more and more complicated. Reducing network downtime andsimplifying network maintenance time have become a serious problem of muchmedium-sized network management increasingly.In view of the shortage of cabling system design and implementation in ourcountry, this paper does the research on the feature, devise and construction technology.It is based on the analysis of concept principle of the cabling system. It explains thedesign principles of cabling system, grade, overall design scheme, each subsystemdesign steps and essentials.At the same time, aiming at the situation that using network managementapplication to help network administrators to monitor network connections, but it cannot tell network administrators which Logical Links have something wrong or can notindicate which the physical location of the problems is. The design developed theintelligent cabling management system Janus and improved the existing electronic patchpanel hardware base on TIA/EIA606cabling management standards.Mainly to solve the problems as follows: track and monitor the status of all the MAC sub layer correctly; complete the network monitoring, and increase the alarmresponse; real-time online record of information; intelligent management tools; MACsub-layer preparation tools; control events of local/remote; Achieve monitoring theconnection status of wiring and the physical state and location of equipment real-timeround-the-clock; ensure the reliability and security of connection, reduce the time of theaccident the whole network system and the costs of operation and maintenance.
