A wind tunnel is a tubular test device where the uniform air streams producedartificially and controllable are designed to stimulate the airflow around aircrafts orobjects, measure the effect of airflow on aircrafts or objects and observe physicalphenomena. It is one of the main test devices for aerodynamics, and the flight attitudesof aircrafts can be stimulated in the wind tunnel, and the parameters of aerodynamicscan be measured under corresponding conditions so as to provide basis for the modeselection, fixing and modification design of aircrafts.0.6m×0.6m wind tunnel has the optimal flow quality at home, which is mainlyused for the mode selection test, unsteady special test and technological research onaerodynmaic test for aircrafts and missiles under normal arrangement in China,meanwhile, it is a standard wind tunnel for the test of pitot tubes in China.In order to meet the basic application research of aerodynamics and build aresearch-based test base, we decide to build the0.6m×0.6m wind tunnel into a researchtest platform. In order to exert the functions of the new test platform, a new generationof monitoring system should be researched and developed. The paper, focusing on theachievement of the new generation of monitoring system, describes the researchpurpose, significance and task, components of0.6m×0.6m wind tunnel monitoringsystem, including operation control and monitoring system of the wind tunnel, modeattitude operation control system, flow adjustment and data collection system, dataprocess system, diffuser and ejector control system. Meanwhile, it discusses the specificways to achieve each system, and raise key technical difficulties existing in theexecution of the project and give relevant solutions.The research and development aims to renew and upgrade the overall existingmonitoring systems of the wind tunnel, improve the precision of Mach digital controland the accuracy of measurement data, enlarge the test capability, advance the reliabilityof wind tunnel operation, shorten the operation period of wind tunnel test and furtherenhance the efficiency of wind tunnel test. After the dynamic commissioning, flowcalibration and standard stimulation test, the newly developed wind tunnel monitoring system has been proved that all have reached technical indices under national militarystandards and achieved the goal as expected.
