High-voltage DC power supply is widely used in electrostatic precipitation, medical diagnostic and so on. With the development of science and technology, switching frequency of high-voltage DC power supply becomes higher and volume becomes smaller. Magnetic devices, capacitors and radiators take up most of the volume of high-voltage DC power supply. The volume of magnetic devices and capacitors decreases when the switching frequency increases while the volume of radiators will increase because of the loss of the semiconductor switching devices. So the key to raise switching frequency is to lower switching losses.The advantage of LCC resonant converter compared to other resonant converter is demonstrated through theory. The first harmonic of input voltage of LCC resonator can be approximated as input of LCC resonator. So that analysis of LCC resonant converter is simplified. And mathematical model of LCC resonant converter can be easily designed. At last one new parameter design method is proposed.Planar transformer is superior to traditional winding transformer in realizing the miniaturization of the power supply.The current mature control method of LCC resonant converter is based on frequency modulation. While the switches is switching, the resonant current or voltage is zero. The losses of switches are reduced. But zero voltage or zero current switching can’t be achieved at any loads because resonant frequency is affected by load resistance. A LCC resonant converter based on resonance control is proposed in this paper. Resonance control detects resonant current. The switches are turn on or off only when the resonant current is zero, to ensure that zero voltage or zero current switching can be achieved at any loads. Then the losses of switches are greatly reduced and the frequency can be greatly increased.One larger power multi-output LCC resonant converter based on resonance control is designed to verify the method of design.
