Power grid GIS information services platform is a kind of new management system combined with computer information management technology, device management system and geographic information System. In this platform, we can not only manage traditional properties files and image files, even more important is that it has a powerful capacity of network topology analysis, can handle complex problems in power system more quickly and efficiently. This article is mainly making an in-depth study about the key technology of network topology for power GIS.Firstly after introducing the technical framework and functional design of the GIS platform, we build the model of spatial data and network topology. We place great emphasis on the most complex distribution network, introduce the data models and storage methods of spatial data and attribute data in detail. Then, we have analyzed the algorithm of GIS network topology and introduce its development tools and implementations, at last realized two typical features of network topology.For network topology algorithm, this thesis place emphasis on the distribution network reconfiguration algorithm, distribution network reconfiguration is a non-linear and multi-objective optimization problem in nature. People have used a variety of algorithms on the issue of distribution network reconfiguration, this theses focuses on the genetic algorithm. We have improved the standard genetic algorithm, such as Niche and elite choice policy. For crossover rate and mutation rate, it has used the adaptive technology. This self-adaptive technology has solved the problem of local optimization and early convergence.Then, we design and implement the distribution network reconfiguration algorithm; optimum power cut technology is the typical application of distribution network reconfiguration algorithm in electric power GIS platform. Optimum power cut technology is based on the proved genetic algorithm.At last a simulation experiment has confirmed the validity of the algorithm.
