In today’s society, power supply has gradually become the core component of electrical devices. The required levels of stability and reliability have also increased. With the greater variety of electrical devices, there is also the demand for better power supplies. Currently most of the global switch type power supply enterprises are foreign funded, with USA being the major manufacturer. Therefore the buck DC/DC switch power supply is particularly important. It is extensively being applied on the market because of its small size, high development rate, and economic design. The main factors that affect the direction of development of power supply managed chips are market demand and new technological innovations. Firstly, because the increasing demand of resources and an emphasis on environmental protection, the specifications of electrical devices from many countries have become more and more standardized. Secondly by inspecting the new technological innovations of switch power supplies, it can be evaluated that the trend of power supply managed chip development is improving the amount of integration.Compared to the past, single-ended converter which can only work in single-mode, this subject designed a double-end, forward mode buck converter which has more advantages. The circuit utilizes the CSMS BCD standard technology to finish the layout. This thesis first elaborates the development of switching power supply and their technological background and differences, followed by an introduction to their mechanisms. Firstly, study the basic theory of the chip to analyze the advantages and disadvantages from the buck type DC/DC switching power supply chip. Finally, our design is a double-ended dual-mode forward converter. We will also have a single-ended and double-ended voltage mode and current mode of operation to compare. The paper’s main part is the chip internal circuit design and simulation, such as standard module, oscillator module, the divider module, PWM control module, the limiting module and so on. Finally, realize the different modes of the overall simulation and the layout.The characteristics of this paper include two points. Firstly, the design of Buck DC/DC change is a double-ended, dual-mode, a forward converter. Double-ended single-ended advantage is that the two switch just under the general turn-off voltage, making the circuit more stable. Two modes are in order to achieve complementary voltage mode and current mode of the strengths and weaknesses, and improve the performance of the circuit. In the final simulation also verified the performance of the double-end dual-mode chip. Secondly, BCD process is compatible with BIPOLAR, CMOS, DMOS technology process, making the high voltage devices and low-voltage devices integrated on a chip and package.
