As the production of clean electrical energy, the hydropower station with its unique advantages playing an unparalleled role. It is not only able to produce electricity but also shoulder the flood, drought, irrigation, protect the environment. Thus, the safe operation of hydropower station also appears to be very important, with a safe and reliable automatic fire alarm system is a strong guarantee of their safety.As with the hydropower station,has fuel more complex structure, moisture degree, electromagnetic interference, and more dust. So it has a very high demand to the sensitivity and reliability of the automatic fire alarm system. The paper mainly takes the Power Gong Guo Qiao Hydropower Station as example to investigate the above mentioned problems. According to its features, the automatic fire alarm system and joint control system have been studied and designed.This system can be stable, fast and accurate identification of the fire signal, try to avoid and reduce the losses caused by fire.In order to be able to meet the automatic fire alarm system demands of the Power Gong Guo Qiao Hydropower Station.Firstly,this paper describes the fire detection methods and analysis the principle and structure of the automatic fire alarm system and joint control system. Then combining with the characteristic of the Hydropower Station,this paper puts forward the design scheme(hardware design and software design).that Automatic fire alarm system of centralized control and region control can be shared and remotely controlled. Finally,this paper improves the situation after in practical applications and analysis its reliability.After six months of operation and practice:the automatic fire alarm system to satisfy the needs of the hydropower station.
