With the rapid development of the information age nowadays, human society hasgradually entered the digital age, and a variety of appliances and instruments developedtowards digital. The computer system is a digital system which could process mostdigital signals. Therefore, it is more convenient to use computer system to process thedigital signals. The sapphire precision cutting device control system designed by thearticle is controlled by the computer systems to complete the mission of the controlsignals and the detection of the switching state.The control of stepper motor is the focus of this study. In conventions the steppermotor drive control method likely caused a large low-frequency oscillation due to thelack of subdivision. It is inconsistent with the high stable requirements of the system.And in the actual operation, the load of sapphire cutting device is a changing constant.If we used the tradition torque method to drive a stepper motor, to ensure the steppermotor not stall, we should give the motor a relatively high dynamic torque. However,when the system is running in the lower load state, it would make the oscillation to thesystem because that the energy far exceeds the demand of system, or make the steppermotor over shoot. In brief, it will cause the sapphire cutting device located not accurate.Refer to the large number of domestic and international research literature, the articlebring a new control strategy which based the cutting on the variable load. The methoduses the PWM waveform subdivision drive technology based FPGA controlled.According to the load changing models which builds off line, in the process of thesapphire cutting, the system can predict the changed load and adjust the motor torqueunder the premise of128subdivisions. The measure not only saves energy, but alsoimproves the stability of the system, anti-jamming capability and other performance.
