In our times, the development design of environmentfriendly and low carbon car oronboard systems for car has become a new development trend. Along with the increase of airpollution, developing automotive air purifier is to this needs. If you often ride the cars, youwill have different degrees of fatigue and sleepy feeling, and you stay in the car of the longertime, this feeling will be increasingly strong. As for the reasons, it is mainly because lack ofcirculation of air inside the car, oxygen inadequacy, waste gas content had higher and so on.Therefore, the automotive air purifier be born at the right moment. This paper is based onbackground of air pollution of the environment in the car, and it is a new development designof intelligent air purifier for car.The development and design of the new intelligent automotive air purifier of this paperhas used modular design thought. it is in through combining with the new sensor technology,collecting the car air quality information, using the high processing speed Single-chipmicrocomputer of AVR as a microprocessor, and it has purified air in the car by UV light tubeand anion generator. In this paper, first of all, combining with the system design requirements,it was choosed the ATmega16of AVR single-chip microcomputer chips as microcontroller ofthe system, and it has completed the type selection of sensor device and the overall design ofthe system. Secondly, it has completed hardware design of divided modules of system, thehardware design mainly including the power conversion module, gas sensor module,temperature and humidity sensor module, ultraviolet lamp module, fan control module, theanion generator module and LCD module, and completion of the system hardware design ofISP download module and system PCB design work. Again, it has completed the softwaredesign of the system, on the basis of complete hardware design, it has introduced the designof main functions program of system. Finally, it has completed the debugging of systemsoftware by a way of software simulation of Protues, and on that basis, it has completed thesystem hardware commissioning and debugging.This paper introduces the development design of a new intelligent air purifier for car ishighly intelligent, energy conservation and environmental protection and low price manycharacteristics. The development design and research show that the automotive air purifierhad reasonable design ideas, complete function, economy applicable. The operation is stableand has good reliability, it can be effective in Purify the air inside the car, a air purification,and has a certain product market value.
