Elastic deformation of rolls plays an important role in shape theory.sutdyon elastic deformation of rolls can help us pridict the strip profile under thespecified condition and help us set up the mathematic model of various factorsand shape,also help us find all kinds of factors and the controlling factors on theshape regularity.This work provide reliable theoretical basis for determingingthe process parameters,the correct ways to improve the shape.This paper regard14504-high hot continuous mill as research object. Asoftware for calculating elastic deformation of roll is developed by influencefunction method. roll elastic deformation, elastic bending of work roll andbackup roll、distribution of rolling force、distribution of contact between rollsand strip profile under the specified condition are simulated accurately by thissoftware. It is applied to the off-line simulation of rolling process. The mainresearch contents are as follows:1) Based on the theory of rolling deformation, we established mathematicalmodel for rolling process. Rolling force formula is deduced to reduce thenumber of iteration in the process of computing.2)Through the analysis on the stress and deformation characteristics of rollsystem of4-high common rolling mill、4-high CVC rolling mill、PC rollingmill and HC rolling mill, We established mathematical models of influencefunction method.The influence function of flattening between work roll andbackup roll and the influence function of flattening between roll and strip havebeen improved3)The C++language is used to write the calculation program of Technologysoftware for strip rolling mills. A software is developed based on VisualC++2008,in which the technologies as follows are applied: ADO date baseaccessing and the OOD(Object-Oriented Design)methods. This system hasfriendly interface, especially the operation is simple.4)The rolling process of14504-high hot rolling mill is simulated. Thecorrectness of the software by comparing the calculated results with measured data. And at the same time,we have studiedthe elastic deformation of rollsystemof the4-high mill by this software. It can help us study the inherent lawof the elastic deformation of roll system.
