Steel plate was easy to produce all kinds of defects in the process of heattreatment influencing by various factors, rolling, drawing etc, such as bendingdeformation. In order to eliminate these defects, the steel roller straighteningmachine was usually adopt to flatten the thin steel plate. The pressing machinewas adopt to flatten steel plate whose thickness is beyond a certain range. Theprocess parameters of pressing machine were determined by experience, whichlead to low flatten accuracy and low production efficiency.Theory of bending of the slab pressing was analyzed systematically in thistopic which is based on the improved design of pressing machine in a largedomestic steel mill. Bending model was calculated by numerical computationmethod, provides a certain theoretical basis for calculation of reduction which iskey parameters of pressing machine. Specific research contents and results areas follows:(1)Pressing and bending is opposite process, the bending process wasanalyzed first; the curve model which is based on the load and deflection wasestablished for panel, the deficiency of the traditional curvature equation wasovercame, avoiding the problem that the curvature is difficult to measure theproblem was avoided.(2)Load deflection model was calculated by numerical method,experimental verification was conducted. Error between numerical model andexperiment is less than10%by calculation.(3)Changes of the temperature field in the process of high temperaturebending was simulated by the finite element software. The comparison ofdifferent temperature pressure dint shows that the slab of plastic is enhanced andthe pressure dint is decreased with the increase of temperature.(4)Lightweight design of the pressing machine was conducted, reductionwhich is key parameters of pressing process was calculated,the result of finiteelement calculation and experiment was compared. The roughness of slab was reduced through the analysis of the technologyof pressing and bending, also the calculation of reduction. This article provides acertain theoretical basis for automatic pressing machine when calculating thereduction, enhances the working efficiency of the pressing machine.
