In modern times, miniaturization has become an important trend of products, such as inaerospace, aviation, military and civilian field. The tiny holes that machined on these partsbecome the key technology of product manufacturing.While using the existing small holedrilling method for difficult processing materials, there appears some kinds of problems. Soit is necessary to explore a new method for processing.In this article, it puts forward "drill grinding mechanism and abrasive drilling designand manufacturing technology research", in order to improve tiny holes machining process.In this article, it first summarized the status of tiny holes machining processing both homeand abroad and the advantages and disadvantages of the existing processing technology.Then, it summarized the performance and characteristics of the super hard abrasivematerials especially CBN. After analyzing the problems when abrasive drilling micro-holesfor super hard abrasive materials, it analyzed the machinability of the titanium alloy.At last, it made an analysis of the forming mechanization of the micro-holes abrasivedrilling and established the grinding temperature and grinding force model.It made use ofthe DEFORM3d to simulate the drill grinding process. According to the simulation results,it made an analysis of the grinding temperature, the load and torque when drilling. And atthe same time, it analyzed the effects of feeding, speed and other parameters on the averagetorque, the temperature, stress and strain, etc. Finally the article made a preliminary designfor grinding tool as a whole. It designed the drill tip part and confirmed the drill tip coneAngle and the eccentricity of numerical value. What is more, using45#steel, it comparedchoosing different materials whether or not impact the design of the grinding tool. And atlast, it made a prospect for further research.
