Pinch roll is an important auxiliary equipment of the DSS production line; itmainly used to implement the precision feed and guide of the steel plate. In thedomestic steel company the phenomenon of deviation and the low-accuracyoften appeared on the plate which was sent by the pinch roll device. This issueseriously affected the improvement of the steel product quality and troubled thenormal production. In this article, the operation mechanism of pinch roll wasanalyzed theoretically, the numerical calculation and simulation analyze on thedeviation factors was performed during the sending process, the main reasonsthat causing the deviation and low accuracy were found, and the improvementmeasures were proposed pertinently on the basis of the above studies. Thecompletion of this dissertation has an important guiding significance for theimprovement of product quality, the increase of productivity, and theenhancement of the core competitiveness of enterprises for the productionprocess of the plate and strip.In this paper, it firstly introduced the basic structure, mechanism and processcharacteristics of pinch roll, and then established a mechanical model of thepinch roll in the normal working condition, at last deduced the clamping forceformulas and achieved the stable feeding and sending conditions.Secondly, the plate sending synchronization control scheme was designedaccording the sending and shearing process, and then the further optimizationmethods be proposed on the base.Then, analyzed the impact of motor synchronization control and installationaccuracy of the pinch roll, researched the influence of motor’s output torque andspeed and the low installation accuracy of deflection, parallelism and elevationin detail. And then proposed some corresponding measures and methods toimprove the whole plate-sending process.After that, analysis of the relationship between the roll diameter differenceand the deviation in the process of plate sending of pinch roll, and then in-depthstudy of the impact to the deviation about the coupling effect between the roll diameter difference and deflection difference.Finally, a series of field trials were conducted to verify theoretical researchof the deviation problems of steel plate that sending by the pinch roll, and theconclusion is that the control capacity of pinch roll about sending-platedeviation was improved dramatically after take measures.In short, through this thesis the main reasons for the deviation during thewhole plate-sending were clarified. The reasonable improvement measures havegreatly improved the accuracy of the pinch, increased the product quality, and italso provided a theoretical guidance for the production of plate and strip.
