Electrical steel is a very important metallic-function material, which is not only mainly used as iron cores of electrical machines and transformers, but also an indispensable and important soft magnetic alloys for the lines of electric power, electron, electro mechanics and military industries. Electric steel has high magnetic conductivity and low Fe loss, whose magnetic properties mainly depend on its composition and processing technics, including the control of slab structures which is especially important.This paper, having the production lines of non-oriental electric steels in Xinyu steel factory as the background, mainly studies and analyzes the electromagnetic stirring process, and slab structure,hot-rolled structure and textures with the key working procedures in the productive process (casting process and hot-rolled process) for the typical non-oriental electric steel50W800and50W600, therefore, the reasonable slab structure is confirmed by the study and analysis on the hot-rolled structure and texture in this paper, and finally the best stirring process is confirmed.The electric blender of the casting machine applied in Xinyu factory is bilateral roller.The biggest magnetic induction strength for two pairs of blenders could be measured in the cool state by SG-42Teslameter, the measured electric currents are respectively250A,300A,350A, and380A, and the frequencies are6Hz,9Hz and12Hz, finally, the result shows that the magnetic induction strength decreases with the increases in frequency and stability in electric current, while the magnetic induction strength increases with the increases in electric current and stability in frequency.According to the designed parameters of blender and physical parameters of steel liquid,The blending power, by means of mathematical calculation,increased with the increases in electric current, while it firstly increased and then decreased with the increases in frequency. The central thrust was calculated under the situation of the different frequencies and the minimum blending electric current, that is,250A and3Hz,6Hz,9Hz,12Hz. it was discovered that the central thrust was biggest when the frequency was at9Hz.According to the mathematics calculation and magnetic survey figures,the orthogonal scheme1and2were designed by means of the mixing parameters of two pairs of blenders which were consistent or not. From the analysis on the low-magnification structures of slab which was gotten from the stir of non-oriental silicon steel containing different Si and Al. we could reach the results that the equiaxed grain ratio was up when the electric current increased to38OA from300A and380A, while it firstly increased and then decreased when the blender frequency increased to12from3and6. Therefore, the best blending parameters for electric current and frequency are respectively380A and6Hz. Under the blending scheme2, it is best that the parameters for the first pair of blender are380A and9Hz while the second’s parameters are300A and9Hz.The slab structure has great influences on the structure of hot-rolled plate. As the increase in the equiaxed grain ratio, the sizes for recrystallized grain on the surface have the tendency to grow, The crystal grain whose thickness is1/4changes to regular recrystallized and grown grain, and they could be to recrystallized with the decrease of the center fiber tissues.With the increasing of equiaxed grain ratio in hot-rolled structure rotate the cube texture and y texture strength are reduced,or even γ texture is disappeared,and Goss texture is increased. Based on favorable texture components and the maximum favorable texture strength, non-oriented silicon steel for the experimental conditions reasonable slab structures are obtained, the conclusions are followed:For the50W800non-oriented electrical steel, the best stirring parameters of experiment1and2are respectively3Hz,380A (The first of the stirring roller) and3Hz,380A (The second of the stirring roller) and6Hz,350A (The first of the stirring roller) and9Hz,300A (The second of the stirring roller).
