The laboratory and pilot scale extraction technology of lemon essential oil from lemon skin with supercritical CO2was deeply studied. A new way of further comprehensive utilization industrialization of lemon skin was put forward and developed.Systematic study and experimental work on extraction of lemon essential oil from lemon skin with supercritical CO2have been finished. At first, the laboratory work was performed with yield as evaluation index after lemon skin was dried and smashed. The optimism process conditions were decided in the laboratory work by single-factor experiments including extraction temperature, extraction pressure, CO2flow and separation conditions, meanwhile, Response Surface Analysis(RSA) was applied to optimize the extraction. Reproducibility experiments have been finished and the optimism process conditions and amplification effects were established in the pilot scale tests. Secondly, the physicochemical indexes were analyzed. At last, the whole industrialized flow of producing lemon essential oil from lemon skin by supercritical CO2technology was designed, and the primary economic estimation was done.The following is the optimized whole process conditions of producing lemon essential oil from lemon skin by supercritical CO2technology:the grain size of lemon skin was0.5mm~1.5mm; filling coefficient was0.8; the pressure and temperature of separation Ⅰ were8MPa and45℃, respectively; the pressure and temperature of separation Ⅱ were5MPa and30℃, respectively; the extraction temperature and pressure were42℃and10.9MPa, respectively; the circulating flow of CO2was19.62kg/min. The extraction yield of lemon essential oil was8.43%o.
