With the development of society and people’s awareness of environmental protection, international decorative paint market limit on VOC indicators, environment-friendly low-pollution coating have become the development trend of paint, including high solid coatings, that not only can reduce paint usage and solvent emissions, but also make full use of the existing paint production and construction equipment, to become one of the direction of development of environmentally friendly coatings.high solid acrylic polyurethane coatings with high gloss and colour retention, heat and corrosion resistance, excellent weather resistance the film shiny and plump and so on, are widely used in automotive, aviation, bridge, building, home appliances and other fields, especially as the automobile coatings and automotive refinishing paint with excellent comprehensive properties.Based on the synthesis of high solid acrylic resin as film forming material, choose isocyanate as curing agent, made of high solid acrylic polyurethane coatings. In this paper,a kind of high solids acrylic polyurethane car topcoat with high fullness, high brightness, high weathering resistance, excellent mechanical performance was prepared.Firstly, choosed the acrylic monomer, functional chain transfer agent, initiator and Shigena-10synthesis of high solid and low viscosity hydroxyl acrylic resin, explored the monomer, initiator, chain transfer agent types and dosage, reaction temperature and studied effects of monomer feeding time and other factors on the viscosity of acrylic resin and coating properties, experimental results showed that the best technological conditions for:reaction temperature is140℃, monomer feeding time is4.5hours, adding Shigena-10can reducing the viscosity of acrylic resin and enhance the coating acid resistance and anti-aging performance.Secondly, according to automotive coating high decorative and performance requirements, studied on the selection of isocyanate,the use of coating additives, the design of pigment/binder ratio, flow-linked measures and so on, prepared a high solid acrylic polyurethane automotive topcoat.Finally, made of coating film on the processed plates, the solid content, hardness, adhesion, chemical resistance, paint repair and related properties were tested, and compared with the conventional automotive topcoat in performance indicators. Experiments show that the preparation of high solid acrylic polyurethane coating construction solid content can reach more than60%, coating has high hardness, strong adhesion, chemical resistance, excellent comprehensive performance, reached the technical requirements of high-grade car repair coating.
