The five-membered heteroaromatic triazole and six-membered benzimidazole are kinds of momentous compounds which have excellent pharmacological activity and widely used in medicine and biological science. And these kinds of compounds are also excellent chelate ligands. They could be used to construct functional materials such as cluster compounds and PCPs. Moreover, these ligands with high conjugated system we synthesized could chelate with ion and form new complex with excellent fluorescent property. The ligands can also bridge transition metal ions to show good magnetic property.First of all, we have synthesized two novel ligands containing triazole ring and benzimidazole ring named compound1and compound2. According to the unstable property of compound2, we obtained a new ligand compound3through hydrothermal reaction in a high temperature. The basic properties of these three ligands have been studied. In addition, we studied the forming process of compound3, monitored by ultraviolet absorption spectrum and fluorescence spectrum. It seems to be the best condition is about6~7hours under160℃.Secondly, compound1and compound2were used to construct functional coordination polymer, forming one3D structure complex and five1D complexes with metal ions through hydro(solvo)thermal in situ metal-ligand reactions. The structures, FT-IR, fluorescent and magnetic properties of all the complexes were characterized. And we tried our best to know the coordination modes of ligands and the hydrothermal in situ metal-ligand reaction features. Finally, we studied the changes of the single-crystal to single-crystal transformations. And we found the color of compound9has changed when it was heated, because all the MeOH molecules went away. We put the heated compound9into MeOH solution and observed it dissolved in the solution after several days. And the solution was tested by ultraviolet absorption spectrum, indicating the bonds in1D chain have been destroyed into fragments after heating.
