With the extensive development of internet and mass media, nowadays, all kinds ofmedia information has had a profound efect on people’s life. People understand any aspectof the social life through all kinds of media. In terms of infectious disease prevention andcontrol, people have gradually felt the great infuence brought by media information. Whenthe disease outbreak, people can access to the related information of disease by television, network, newspapers and other media, which includes the causes of infection, route of trans-mission, etc. The correct information can guide people to prevent disease, risk aversion, stabilized emotions, can be helpful for the public to prevent the disease actively. False infor-mation can interfere and destruct disease prevention and control. Therefore, the research onmedia information on infectious diseases prevention and control has important signifcance. In this paper, according to the impact on infectious disease of media information, andthe study of systems both at home and abroad in recent years, we consider mass mediaand time delay factor efects on the control of infectious disease, and mainly introduce thefollowing questions:Firstly, to introduces the transmission of infectious diseases, characteristics and relatedknowledge of media coverage and infuence on people.Secondly, to investigate a SIRS vector-borne epidemic model with horizontal trans-mission and time delay. We study the impact of delay on the stability of the equilibriumby analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations. It is shown that the introductionof a time delay can destabilize the system and periodic solutions can arise through Hopfbifurcation.Again, it deals with the problem of the information induced by media coverage efecton the control of infectious disease with time delay and establish a delayed model. Basicreproductive number R0are obtained and proved that the disease free equilibrium is localasymptotically stable if R0<1. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, sufcient conditions are obtained for the local stability of an endemic equilibrium and draw the conclusion. The last, we take into account that diseases of the relevant information by media cov-erage, we get the information by statisticing the number of infectives and investigating theseverity and the spread of disease when epidemic outbreaks; so access to information will takesome time, which means the information has a time lag, a time delay model are considered. Finally, we discussed the stability of equilibrium and the condition of branches.
