The conception of disenchantment originated from the Disenchantment of the Word written by Max Weber. Enchantment is a kind of character that can allure human to pursue and advocate, which made the things that possess this kind of character turn to qualify the authority and holiness in speeches and public affairs. The forming of Enchantment was a result gradually pushed by common agreement and political and moral power. On the contrary way, Disenchantment means removing the authority and holiness of Enchantment and criticize the external power that contribute to its forming, by which human can cease their blind rush and belief."Hongkong", a special place, allows Li’s works have a unique geographic meaning to write and argue the possibility of disenchantment. In this dissertation, I will analyze and interpret Li’s Disenchantment with the perspectives of history, culture, nation, identity and some others respectively. The whole was organized in three chapters as follows:Chapter OneInterpret the Li’s Disenchantment on the official history documents. Li disclosed the truth of political power run by history through the obscure part in the related documents, disenchant the Enchantment in the narrating, and bring up the "touchable" individual story. This part was based on neohistorical opinion and analyzed with the new narrating of the past, the revalue of the old figure, the introspection and reflexion of " Culture Revolution" and the discovery of hidden history.Chapter TwoInterpret the Li’s Disenchantment on culture.Li Bihua interpreted Canon on the perspective of "alloplasm" and dispeled the elements that had been over culturalized and moralized. She revealed another kind of Canon rarely recognized by the readers. All the policy, morality, love (between man and woman) and humanity had been criticized, which leaded to the desctrction and disenchantment for Canon. In her destruction for Canon, some Technique skills (parody, irony, polyphony, etc) were introduced in the text and created many different perspective to mock and satirize Canon.Chapter ThreeInterpret the Li’s Disenchantment on nation and identity. Libihua expressed her doubts and dissatisfaction against the current nation imaginary in his argument of Mainland and performed disenchantment to the very national enchantment. She denied the nation imaginary focusing only the mainland part, and replaced it with a kind of national imaginary fragments which disenchanted the authority of the major definition on of our nation, which offered many other kinds of nation imaginary. Li questioned the reasonability to identify a single person only with the meaning of the collective nation entity while writing individual self-identity crisis.Hongkong consciousness was the beginning and most reasons for her to perform disenchantment, in which she was trying to reform the importance and unique value in Chinese national entity.
