With a rapid growth of "X化" in Modern Chinese Language, Chinese Academic Circles have paid more attention to this linguistic phenomenon. With the help of Modern Language Corpus and Western Linguistic Theories, the study of "X化has stepped into a new stage.New achievements in Language Study have been obtained, though, the academic agreement in "X化study still has not been arrived and there is no clear line between compound word and derived word. For example, linguistic experts hold different opinions on the nature of "化". Some of them regard "化" as affix while others consider it to be quasi-affix. Another example is that there are few conclusions with regard to the line between compound word "X化" and derived word "X化". In addition, the study has been almost focused on the derivations field.The present study has offered us precious information and experience. At the same time, it leaves us a huge space to discover. In this essay, with the help of linguistic theories related to Grammar, Semantics and Rhythm, we are going to talk about the nature, the origin, the sort and grammatical features of "X化". This essay has six chapters.The First Chapter is a brief introduction of the whole essay, including the current domestic research situation, the significance, unsolved problems of "X化" study. Additionally, our study field, method, unique feature, language source and symbol description are involved.The Second Chapter discusses the nature and origin of "X化". We classify the nature of "化" into two parts-the root and the non-root. Then, we explain the differences of them from the perspectives of pronunciation, semantics, position possibility, and the ability in word building. We have been concentrated on a great quantity of linguistic data, trying to make a clear history display of "X化". In this process, we use method of Induction and Comparative Analysis.The Third Chapter distinguishes derived word from compound word. We make this boundary by clearing Syllable, Semantics and Grammar. This part is one of the innovations in this essay. The Forth Chapter focuses on the derived word of "X化". In this part, we talk about the grammatical usage of "X化" and explain the phenomenon with linguistic theories related to Semantics and Grammar.The Fifth Chapter tries to explain the "X ft" linguistic phenomenon from three aspects-grammar, semantics and rhythm. The Rhythm Theory, including Accent Delivering Principle and Light Verb Displacement, is the most important section. We hope this to be a new view in "X化" study.The Sixth Chapter is a summary of the whole passage. We make final conclusions of "X化" in this part.
