Build Design Framework To Achieve Self Design By Users

People are experiencing a change of social activities. The domestic popularity of theInternet, the development of the mobile terminal and wireless networks, make people realize theinstant access to the Internet. Democratization of information allows users to not only be the consumers,but also be the manufacturing and the publisher of information. This way of real-time informationexchange brought new requirements of information service for the society, and this change in demandis bound to be affected the graphic design, which is for the purpose of information and communication.As a graphic designer, we should learn the change of information processing, storage and deliveryways, in order to make more effective communication with users. Through analyzing and summarizingsome cases, this thesis put forward the development trend of graphic design. In the project “HollandFestival”, the “margin” is regarded as a kind of interaction between "have" and "nothing". In a sense,some interactive space should be reserved in graphic design. At the same time, it pointed out the newrelationship between graphic designers and design users. The graphic designer provides designsupports for the users, helping them to build a display platform, or design framework and rules. While,the users should participate in the design through the designer’s design support, and achieve theirdesign, which is their wanted. That is, the design is a joint result between the designers and the users.Based on this design concept, I changed my way of thinking and design work centers. How to use theinteractive concept to offer more suitable information communication for the users become the primaryresearch topic of the graduation design. In “City Layer”, one of the graduation portfolio, no longersimply stresses the final effects, put more work on the early part of the design process, such as thedesign framework’s building, set apart some free space for user’s participation. The other, Netnews, isalso set aside sufficient blank for readers to record their point of view.
