Zheng Zhenduo’s 《aticle About King Tang Of Shang Pray For Rain》 And Literary Anthropology

Zheng Zhenduo is one of the earliest explorer of Chinese literary anthropology. The main acdemical achievements of Zheng Zhenduo’s in literary anthropology are article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain and other five articles(hereinafter referred to as article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain).In China,the scholars haven’t carried out a deep investigation and comprehensive analysis of article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain. Because there’s nearly no one study article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain from the perspective of literary anthropology,the essay aims to fill this research blank and try to provide more footnotes for the position of Zheng Zhenduo in literary anthropology.This essay consists of three chapters. The first chapter traces the academic origin of article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain,in order to sort out the origins of this research and theoretical preparations, by which starts from the brainstorming and academic support of original literary outlooks of The Golden Bough of J.G. frazer.The second chapter dig out the academic achievements of article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain. The academic achievements can be divided into three sections according to the object and connotation of research:Imperial rule:the combination of theocracy and kinship; two egos:the coexist of body and soul; the true reality:the moaning of son-in-law of the wife’s family and farmers. On the basis of the three sections,we can have a more specific and deep analysis of article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain, so as to make the figures of literary anthropology more clear.The third chapter sum up the academic approaches of article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain and perform an investigation diachronically and longitudinally. The academic approaches of article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain contains three dimensions:the surpass of "distinction of ancient history","the attempt of three Triple Evidence Act"、"the harbinger of Quadruple Evidence Act".Besides, we also discussed the innovative significance and value of these academic approaches. This essay focus on article about King Tang of Shang pray for rain and investigate the figures belonging to literary anthropology. In the deep field and macro system of the anthropology, this essay explored Zheng Zhenduo’s approaches of literary interpretation and keys to consciousness of methods and outlined the exploring ways that Zheng Zhenduo used to study literary anthropology.
