Effect Of Psychosocial Stress On Different Vocabularies Cognitive Processing Sensitivity

From the view of stress concept development process, researchers have more and more attention to the role of cognition. This emphasis is reflected not only in the study of stress on cognitive, also reflects how the stress impact of cognition. Psychosocial stress is important factor that affect the daily lives of people, a large number of studies have shown that Psychosocial stress has an impact on psychological cognitive and physical health, and found that these effects are mostly caused due to stress and the physiological reaction or emotional response. The Psychosocial stress is not only an impact on cognitive processing, but also by the impact of cognitive evaluation. It is Psychosocial stress and the interaction between Psychosocial stress and cognition that affect the individual’s subsequent cognitive processing. The focus of this study is to explore the impact of Psychosocial stress on the vocabulary cognitive processing sensitivity. Word processing sensitivity is the basis of cognitive processing, previous studies have shown that the words information processing by many factors, such as the word’s attributes and emotional qualities or emotional state of the individual. Psychosocial stress on word processing sensitivity will be affected by other factors, such as the individual’s level of trait anxiety or words information with the stress-related or emotional potency.This study is divided into two parts; the first part is further validation of Psychosocial stress on the general individual word processing sensitivity. The emotional potency of the words and relativity of the experiment stressor will be provided in parallel. Of randomly assigned to the stress group or the control group, after experiencing stress or control processing complete vocabulary recognition task. The results showed that:the stress response of the stress group including heart rate, and subjective stress reports and state anxiety were significantly higher than the control group; significant main effect of the properties of the words in the word recognition task, showed emotional words especially positive word processing sensitivity significantly higher than neutral words. Words significant interaction properties and stress treatment performance for word processing sensitivity stress related stress group was significantly higher than the control group. Given the experimental one problem of inadequate and did not prove the second part of the study on the basis of experiment further improvement. First words stress and emotional potency crossover settings, for example, the same words that may be stress-related words may also be a neutral word. The results showed that:the stress response of individuals with high trait anxiety significantly higher than low trait anxiety individuals, but using covariate analysis of the removal of the cognitive evaluation of the impact of the stress response, the stress response of the high and low trait anxiety group there was no difference. Secondary evaluation covariates impact is greater than the primary evaluation. Results show that the word processing reaction time of high trait anxiety to determine the color of stress-related neutral words was slower than stress-unrelated neutral words. Attention bias results show:before the stress. High trait anxiety individuals pay attention to avoid the related word; after stress, high trait anxiety attention to stress-related words be alert.Attention bias to the stress-related word of Low trait anxiety group were not different between before and after the stress.The conclusions of this study:word processing sensitivity is mainly affected by the words property, but the Psychosocial stress can selectively increase the sensitivity of the stress-related word processing; when words contain both stress and emotion two properties, stress-related priority been processed; the Psychosocial stress can selectively affect high trait anxiety processing stress-related properties of words; secondary evaluation of cognitive evaluation affect the reaction of high trait anxiety individual during Psychosocial stress.
