Research On Bronze Swords Of The Warring States And Qin And Han Dynasties Found In Gui Zhou

This paper deals with the bronze swords of the Warring states and Qin and Han period excavated in the regain of Gui Zhou, and covers more research areas than other ones. First we introduce these swords, then carry a systematic research. The thesis includes five parts.Chapter one:introduction part. This chapter introduces geography history in Gui Zhou, including administrative division and national profile of Gui Zhou and Gui Zhou’s history. It looks back into the brief history of research of this area. It sums up the development, change, traditional research scope and established achievements existing in the academic circle on research methods; meanwhile, it also points out the shortcomings.Chapter Two and three:main body. All swords are grouped into four types based on the shape of handles and brand according to typology. Also Sub-types and modes appear in the types. They are flat handle with ophicephalous(Type A), cylinder handle with willow leaves(Type B), cylinder handle with Type B modified sword(Type C), cylinder handle with Minus ge(Type D). Meanwhile, it infers years of each type and style on the basis of that, which has four periods—early, The middle front, The middle after and late periods. The character of each period is summed up.In these two chapters, we make several statistical charts on numbers, location, characters. From these data, we find that the distribution does not locate balancly, so that there exists rare in the Central and eastern. We conclude that two systems may appear in Gui Zhou which have communication with each other.Chapter Four:Articles will bronze swords in adjacent to bronze swords of Ba Shu region, Gui Zhou province, eastern Yun Nan plateau copper bronze swords sword, Dian lake, in contrast, summarized in the warring states Qin and Han dynasties unearthed bronze swords type the three region, and Gui Zhou, comparing the unearthed bronze swords and find Gui Zhou bronze swords with the similarities and differences among the three regions bronze swords found in Gui Zhou, the warring states Qin and Han dynasties bronze swords deeply Ba Shu and Dian lake area, in addition, Gui Zhou is also developed bronze swords with local characteristics.Chapter five:research on relation matters. First is about some special type of bronze swords in Gui Zhou, because of its unearthed quantity less and lack of relevant strata relations, and therefore difficult to infer the specific, several unique bronze swords, but this is rare in other area or see, or special bronze swords in Gui Zhou. Then through to the information, analysis and Gui Zhou Wei Ning bronze swords of both science and the warring states Qin and Han dynasties tombs unearthed bronze swords and other bronze weapons combination case studies, concluded that Gui Zhou bronze swords are influenced by Si Chuan, Yun Nan, but still developed its own unique culture.
