Comment And Review On The Study Of Textual Rhetoric

Textual Rhetoric is one of the branches of Rhetoric and this thesis mainlydiscusses the commentary review of Textual Rhetoric. Textual Rhetoric, as anindependent subject, has not been well-studied in the field of Rhetoric. The thesispointed out the importance and necessity of the Textual Rhetoric’s study throughsystematic comment and review. This thesis is made up of two parts: introduction andfour chapters.The part of introduction mainly introduces the current situation of our ChineseRhetoric, and then illustrates the insufficiency, importance and necessity of theTextual Rhetoric’s study.The part from Chapter2to Chapter4is mainly the Review. This part proves thatTextual Rhetoric has a long history, meanwhile, proves that Textual Rhetoric is a mainbranch of Rhetoric.Chapter2mainly introduces the study of Ancient Textual Rhetoric. Here, ancientis from Chun Qiu, Tang Dynasty, Wu Dai-Shi Guo, Song Dynasty, Jin Dynasty andYuan Dynasty to Ming and Qing Dynasty. This part introduces the features ofdifferent periods respectively.Chapter3introduces the rhetorical theory of modern times.Chapter4introduces the rhetorical theory of present age, especially the maindiscussion of Text Rhetoric in1980s. This period is the main development of theTextual Rhetoric.Chapter5which is the part of comment is the meditation of Textual Rhetoric.This part mainly introduces from three parts: the wholism of Text Rheroric, the stateof Textual Rhetoric and Textual Rhetoric and Si-Liu Structure.
