The Study On The Issue Of Remains Returning Of Chinese Labor Martyrs Kidnapped By Japan

In response to the lack of domestic labor, Japan recruited Chinese laborers by the strong arm in WorldWar Ⅱ. Approximately40,000Chinese laborers were kidnapped to Japan for forced labor by the strong handof which nearly7000people died. The remains of the deceased mostly scattered throughout Japan in thepost-war, and remains in the post-war martyrs gradually discovered and excavated collected. On how toreturn the remains of these workers, there was a big divergence in Japan. The government of the People’s Republic ofChina actively carried out "people’s diplomacy" to bring back the remains of the labors, opened the door forthe Japanese non-governmental organizations to come to China In the early days of New China. WhileTaiwan authority have resisted the returning of the remains to China mainland, and continued to pressure the Japanese Government, objectively increased the difficulty of the returning of the remains. In the issues of theremains of the labors and the returning of the remains of the labors, the Japanese government should bear theprimary responsibility, but it has always been evasive and escaping, failed to bear the responsibility.
