The turning modal adverbs of Modern Chinese usually indicate that the speakersnegative some situations or phenomenon subjectively. The common modal adverbs ofModern Chinese include “dao”(倒)、“fan”(反)、“fandao”(反倒)、“daofan”(倒反)、“fan′er”(反而)、“daoshi”(倒是)、“que”(却)、“pian”(偏)、“pianpian”(偏偏)etc. Through counting three hundred compositions we found that thefrequency of these modal adverbs different from each other in that of internationalstudents. Among these, the frequency of “fan′er”(反而) is the highest and it is alsoused incorrectly. So the researching object of this article is “fan′er”(反而), mainlyincluding the following aspects:1) The researching summary of “fan′er”(反而);2) The error type analysis of “fan′er”(反而);3) The error reason analysis of “fan′er”(反而);4) The teaching strategies of “fan′er”(反而);...
