In order to determine a universal highest moral principle to theworld, John Stuart mill who is a utilitarian writer wrote a book,"utilitarianism", and explained in detail the utilitarianism of "the greatesthappiness of the greatest number principle" in the book. Based oninterpreting and studying the concept of happiness, we profoundconnotation of its thought, so as to provide a theoretical reference for themoral practice in our daily life.The first, through divided two different kinds of joyful nature, Millstressed mind happy should be exalted, such as reason happy, happyfeelings and imagination, the happy of moral feeling, which is not only asource of beyond the physical pleasure of personal happiness, but also themoral emotion is the link which is connecting personal happiness andsocial happiness. Secondly, through research of justice, the sense ofjustice, Mill established equality and justice on the idea of utilitarianism,and digested the contradiction of utilitarianism in the internal ofutilitarianism. Finally, Mill putted the way of weakening the free development of individual egoistic and supporting the happiness societyof fair and equal on the ourselves development of sense of morality, senseof justice and conscience, regarded the individual development in the freefield as the only way to realize the unified fusion of moral and benefit,rational and emotional, personal and social.
