Wen Tingyun is a shining star in the late Tang Dynasty literary,with full of talentedand facile imagination,and he has made great achievements in poetry,words,text andothers.But the scholars put their eyes on his warm words and ignored his poetry study.Inthis paper,based on the text of Wen Tingyun poetry,on the one hand, from the most basicbuilding elements-the image of his poetry to start to explore the characteristics of the WenTingyun poetic images, presentation, emotional world, the main style, comprehensivesystem to interpret his poetry.On the other hand, the author deeply digging the WenTingyun poetry image formation reason and influence on later poets, and giving a correctevaluation.This article consists of four chapters except Introduction and Conclusion:Chapter one:Wen Tingyun ’s poetic imagery characteristics and presentation.Firstinvestigated Wen Tingyun ’s poetic imagery,and summed up the characteristics of the WenTingyun poetic images: slim and delicate, beautiful and rich,fades and deserted,flow andwander,and then understood Wen Tingyun poetry aesthetic taste.At the sametime,combined with poetry to analyze the way of Wen Tingyun’s poetic presentation,thatcould be summarized into five: line drawing elaborate, Metaphor and Symbol, the contrastset off, the actual situation matched combination of movement, to perspecte Wen TingjunPoetry method.Chapter two:Wen Tingyun ’s poetry spirit connotation.The chapter selected the mostrepresentative of the four groups of imagery,combined with poetry to analyze the spiritualconnotation of Wen Tingyun poetic images, in order to appreciate the thoughts andfeelings.Specific performance in four aspects: the setting sun, flower: life with the passage;Liu, the ship: Acacia parting grief; month, Candle: the feeling of loneliness loneliness;Temple: Soul habitat.Chapter three:From the image to see Wen Tingyun ’s poetry main style.With help ofpoetic imagery to analyze the main style of poetry,could be summarized in three words:"gorgeous","clear","graceful"."gorgeous" is mainly refers to the bright-colored andbright;"clear"is mainly manifested in two aspects:pure natural and coolcold;"graceful"mainly refers to Subtle hazy.Chapter four:Wen Tingyun’s poetic image of the causes and effects.There were somany reasons for the formation of Wen Tingyun poetic image: First, affected by the late Tang society’s political, economic, climate, etc. Second, their own life experiences,interests in life and other aspects were closely related. Third, by the older generation ofpoets or poetry groups. At the same time Wen Tingyun unique image have had a profoundinfluence on the later poets, also have laid a foundation for the words.
