The interaction between of human society and the natural environment in historicalperiod,Man-land relationship as we said is the important issues of Historical Geography.In this area, the Xiliao River Basin during the Liao and Jin Dynasties has a verydistinctive characteristic. First of all, the Xiliao River Basin is located in pastoral areas,sensitive ecosystems; Secondly, the Liao and Jin Dynasties are at the early stage ofmutation by global climate change, climate factors significantly;finally, the Governmentof the Liao and Jin Dynasties the Xiliao River Basin large-scale agricultural development,human factors has a huge impact on the environment. Based on the three reasonsabove,this article choose the Xiliao River Basin during the Liao and Jin Dynasties to beobject. Explore the development of the Man-land System under the double impact ofthe human and environmental factors in the historical period. This article will discuss theobject from the following parts:Part Ⅰ: Introduce the basic situation of the Xiliao River Basin during the Liao and JinDynasties,and basic theory of Man-land relationship,Laying the groundwork for the nextexposition.Part Ⅱ: From the perspective of changes in the natural environment,discuss thechange of the Xiliao River Basin natural environment during the Liao and Jin Dynasties,from the aspect of climate, hydrology, flora and fauna distribution.Part Ⅲ:From the perspective of development of human society,discuss the changeof the Xiliao River Basin social development during the Liao and Jin Dynasties, from theaspect of Population migration, urban development, agriculture and animal husbandrychanges and war.Part Ⅳ: Horqin sand-land to example,elaborate the men-land system of XiliaoRiver Basin during the Liao and Jin Dynasties whose change process and results.Part Ⅴ: To summarize and draw conclusions all above.
