The two major ancient Indian Epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata, shine with dazzling splendour in Indian history and world literatureespecially Ramayana which has profound and lasting influence on Indiaand Southwest Asia countries in literature and was called “the initialpoem” in the past two thousand years. The poem created in the period ofhuman childhood manifests its poetic wisdom and is filled with purityand simplicity. Therefore, the feature of originality in the poem is not thesubstitution of savagery, on the contrary, what it embodies is a kind ofprimitive culture and the simplest human’s recognition on society andnature.Cultural anthropology appeared as a discipline following theknowledge globalization while literary anthropology esplored therelationship between literature and human beings regarding culture as thebond. Literary anthropology is interdisciplinary and its theory is tointerpret literature in the context of culture and humanity, which bringsnew inspiration for further literary research.
