At present, the paper-cut in the world can be divided into East and West two partsbasically. The author selected some Chinese folk paper-cut which are most representative andsome German, French, British and other countries of European paper-cut for systemictheoretical study. In the study of the western paper-cut basis to draw upon its inheritancemodel, the thinking characteristics and extraction of the application of language in women’sclothing design. In the study of Chinese folk paper-cutting, and on the basis of "take its shape","delay its meaning", and then combining with a western thinking design concept, will Chinafolk paper-cutting in modern women’s clothing design of use, so as to promote the Chinesefolk paper-cutting inheritance and China national dress brand.In the development of our country paper-cut has passed one thousand and it contains arich national culture. The practical and decorative Chinese folk paper-cut that comes fromrustic folk artists’ or farmers’ hands, reflects the collective, inheritance, diffusion and othercharacteristics. Under the influence of traditional Chinese thinking and Chinese implicitnational character, folk paper-cut shows its special folk characteristics. While the Germany,France and Britain paper-cut which are on behalf of Europe based on Chinese paper-cut forthe mother is introduced into European in the16th and17th centuries. It is completelydifferent with Chinese paper-cut that European paper-cut is the art of the high social status ofwomen in their spare time to create firstly, then it is influenced by Western classicalart,modernism and postmodernism culture and as well as with other forms of art style ofintegration. It produces unique characteristics. The author made a systemic detailed theorysummary for European paper-cut compared with Chinese, and explored essence from thecultural and the geographical environment, also fill the blank status quo of the theoreticalstudy of the European paper-cut.Folk paper-cut art is an important part of Chinese civilization. Only the protection andinheritance folk paper-cut can make traditional Chinese culture more brilliant. We shouldlearn from European art inheritance pattern, break through paper-cut original scale boldly, andmake the paper-cut and modern life mutual fusion. Only in this way, can Chinese folkpaper-cut truly continue to be passed along with the pace of the modern, and achieve theprosperity of the paper-cut cultural recovery.Using cross-disciplinary approach would contribute to solving our faces paper-cutinheritance undoubtedly, and the choice of fusion of practical clothing design and thepaper-cut will also help Chinese nationalization of the costume design, so that it would be toform the brand, industrialization, and get rid of our Clothing Design" imitate" status. Theauthor would conform to the trend, make theoretical research academically which is thefusion of practical design and paper-cut, and make practice design and production of finishedproducts on this base of the20-30age female. It may ultimately improve and enrichtheoretical analysis support for guiding other design practice.
