The Age Of Occurrence For The Chinese Preschool Children’s Expression Of Three Types Generic Sentence In Chinese

The purpose of this study was investigate the age of occurrence for the Chinese preschool children expressed generic sentences in Chinese which are the type of "is the+predicative"the、the type of "verb" and the type of "can+verb" by using traditional research paradigm. The author combined the features of generic sentence in Chinese gramma, prepared three kinds of experimental materials of generic sentences, in which2years10months to4years10months old Chinese preschool children have been used. The result shows that:(1) The age of occurrence for the Chinese preschool children express the type of "can+verb" generic sentence in Chinese comes at2years and10months old, and there is a period of rapid growth at a time when they are2years and10months old to3years and6months old,3years and6months old and older can generally express the type of "can+verb" generic sentence in Chinese.(2) The age of occurrence for the Chinese preschool children express the type of "is the+predicative" generic sentence in Chinese comes at3years and2months old, and there is a period of rapid growth at a time when they are3years and2months old to4years old,4years old and older can generally express the type of "can+verb" generic sentence in Chinese.(3) The age of occurrence for the Chinese preschool children express the type of "verb" generic sentence in Chinese comes at3years and2months old, and there is a period of rapid growth at a time when they are3years and2months old to4years and8months old,4years and8months old and older can generally express the type of "verb" generic sentence in Chinese.(4) There is a order of occurrence for Chinese preschool children express three types of generic sentence in Chinese, the type of "can+verb" generic sentence in Chinese first occured, followed by the type of "is the+predicative" generic sentence in Chinese and the type of " verb" generic sentence in Chinese. Among them, the age of occurrence for the type of "can+verb" generic sentence in Chinese is the most shortest (9months), the second is the type of "is the+predicative" generic sentence in Chinese (11months), and the longest is the type of" verb" generic sentence in Chinese (19months)...
