The nearby view of this works is range upon range of mountains; the middle view makes you feel the affection in attachment; the distant view let you feel admiring and revering. The foot of the main peak and the head of the mountain forest are fascinating, which display the artistic skills of FanKuan’s capacity on the landscape and the space structure.Western paintings create space relationship depending on the true perspective reaction via the shape, colour, air and light. However, Chinese paintings use the aesthetics self-conscious inherited from ancient times, which stress "looking into the minutes from greatness" and the artistic conception from the painter when he or she observes.The heyday of the landscape was in Song Dynasty. The paintings of those days were full of neterogeny and diversification. Fan was taught by JingHao, GuanTong, and deeply affected by LiCheng. He grasped the space peculiarity of the last dynasty and tried his best to break through it. And finally, he found his own style to create the scene that was great and golrious and filled with human touch. This was a great record, and it was an exactly progress of the ancient landscape painting history.Space concept of modern painting mostly use "Threepoint Perspective", and break the bounds of the traditional field of vision. It unites the sceneries according to the need, and the traditional writing sight line is overturned. Times goes by, the value orientation and the aesthetic consciousness are also changing.
