In recent years, the peer co-counseling has been concerned, and becoming an importantform to improve students’ psychological quality and mental health. co-counseling is thatin the process of interaction,people give psychological comfort, encouragement, persuasion,support to each other to provide a activities of helping similar to psychological counseling,so that the psychological quality of the participants will improve to the positive direction. The"Peer" means "friends" and "peer", they usually in the similar age, concerning the sameissues and enjoying the common values, lifestyle, experience, so they are suitable for peerco-counseling. Coupled with peer co-counseling have the features of initiative, reciprocity,direct compared with general psychological counseling, the "prevention is better than cure,early warning is prior of intervention" concept highlights the characteristics of peerco-counseling, indicating that the peer co-counseling is not only a psychological counselingtechniques, but more the organizations function of psychological counseling.peer co-counseling has been rapid developed in the world since the1960s, and has beenan important form of mental health education. The development of peer co-conceling accordswith the psychological needs of students, which can develop the students’ quality ofhelping each other and the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation; the same time, peermutual aid underlines the dominant position of students and meet the students’ psychologicalcharacteristics; The implemention of peer co-conseling can effectively improve theeffectiveness of mental health education and the students’ mental health level. Therefore, weshould promote the development of the theory and practice of peer co-counceling, and givefull play to the subjectivity of students so that they help each other and improve their mentalhealth.The study based on the theory of humanistic psychology,Adopte the revised " Theself-rating scale of school adaptation of the freshmen " and “Interpersonal relationship scaleof university student” as research tools, characterize students’ development,develop theintervention programs and implement them, explore how does co-conseling affact thefreshmen interpersonal relationships and school adaptation.The main conclusions are asfollows: (1)The intervention training of peer co-counceling can significantly improve the schooladaptation of the college students.The data presented show that the peer co-counceling have asignificant impact on school adaptation of collage student.(2)The intervention training of peer co-counceling can significantly improve theinterpersonal relationships of the college students.The data presented show that the peerco-counceling have a significant impact on interpersonal relationships of collage student.(3)The correlation of Boarding time and school adaptation is significant. there aresignificant differences between rural students and urban students,the school adaptation ofrural students is higher than urban students.There are significant differences betwween thestudents of different gender,the school adaptation of girl students is significantly higherthan boy students;The school adaption of the students with and without the one-child does notexist significant differences.(4)The interpersonal conditions of the students which are different Boardingtime,gender,from rural or urban,the one-child or not don’t exist significant differences.
