Quatrains is the essence of classical Chinese poetry, especially quatrains of the TangDynasty.Wei Yingwu is the most famous poet in Dali period,also a key figure in theprocess of change in poetic style in the Golden time of Tang between the Middle TangDynasty.Wei Yingwu has a more important position in the history of the development ofthe Tang Quatrains.Most researches foucus on his ancient-style poetry,but the creativetalent of Wei Yingwu is not limited to ancient-style poetry,his quatrains also achieve ahigher artistic achievement.
