Researches On The Meaning Of Empty Names In Tne View Of Methodology Of Logical Actionism

Empty names, to which is often referred as fictional names as well. The problems ofmeaning of empty names involved in philosophy, logic, linguistics and the Cross-cuttingareas. Debates result from no real individual correspond to the empty name when we talkabout the referent. The debates of problems such as whether fictional object exist, theexistence of fictional characters, semantic interpretation of the empty names and thereferring of empty name always accompany with the development of the related issuesand theories in the field of logic, philosophy, and the philosophy of language. Accordingto the different status be given to fictional objects, meaning theories of empty names canbe divided into three categories: the radical realism, moderate realism and anti-realism.These three types of views have their own supportive theories, and they learn from eachother while away from each other. But what they share is all of them starting from thecognitive empty names and fictional object itself, to prove their point of view. This papertries to use a new philosophical methodology—Methodology of Logical Actionism, tointerpret the meaning of empty names. This paper will start from the action and practiceof cognitive subject.Methodology of logical actionism combines the theory of speech act in the traditionof analytical philosophy, Husserlian theory of conscious act and Marxist theory of socialpraxis, and then constructs a cognitive framework around the cognitive subject. Thecognitive world around the cognitive subject be divided into the Reality World, theThought World and the Language World. Correspond to this division, cognitive subject’sactions are divided into Objective Action (practice), Conscious Action and Speech Action.There is no direct path between three worlds, actions of cognitive subject connect themand form the relationship of reporter and been reported between the three worlds. Theformation of empty names is the product of conscious action, the empty name is just akind of reporter in the language world which report the product in conscious world.Paper tries to argue the concepts in the conscious world which reported the realityworld have independence and objectivity. After differ objects which have objectivity and real entity which have individuality, paper will explain the important role consciousaction play in object building in the cognitive subject’s mind. Object could be constructedbase on the known concept of knowledge. The original source of the object concepts isthe real world, but the concepts and related action could be independent from realityworld and real individuals after the concepts formed in the thought world throughcognitive subject’s action. Most of the cognitive knowledge human described is therecognition of the concepts of knowledge instead of real entities. On account ofinter-subjectivity of practice, the concepts of knowledge, as products of practice, haverelative independence and objectivity, semantic meaning of the empty names establishedand spread. The identity and stability of the meaning of the language ensure the toolsfunction language play in representation and recording concepts of knowledge. Theconstruction of the conceptive objects can also be inter-subjectivity through verbalexpression, that is how the fictional characters stories described got inter-subjectivity.Empty proper names could be used to refer fictional objects (entities), and could beachieved cross-text identity based on the inter-subjectivity practice, which is a cognitiveunified instead of same.
