" JingYuanji " is a drama works written by Wang Yuanshou in the late time ofMing,whose contentis a love story about ZhangYouqian and LuoXixi. ZhangYouqianand LuoXixi are the Southern Song Dynasty people and live in the east of Zhejiangprovince. Their stories were widely spread at that time in Jiangsu and Zhejiangprovinces. The earliest record about the story appeared in the "JiangHuJiWen" which isa collection of ghost short stories written by GuoXiaofeng of Yuan. Since then, thestory would appear in the later dynasties frequently, including the collection ofclassical novels "LvChuangJiShi" in the early Ming Dynasty, the detective fiction"BaiJiaGongAn","YanYiBian" written by WangShizhen, various dynasties womenpoetry collection" TongGuanYiBian, anonymous "reincarnation Awaken ", FengMenglong "Love Story" and LingMengchu "First moment of surprises".The dramaincluding south drama "LuoXixi","JiangYuanji","ShiLiuji" and the Beijing opera"LiHuaji" also play the story. This paper will look the "JingYuanji" as the researchsubjection and start with the source of the story. It will be traced back to the ghost shortstories "JiangHu JiWen" and Southern drama "LuoXixi" of Yuan.The next extensionwill incorporate the short novels of Ming, the legend of Qing and the Beijing opera.The ultimate aim of this paper is to do a more systematic and deeper research about thestory between ZhangYouqian and LuoXixi.This paper is divided into three chapters.The one chapter is the story fortraceability, including novel and drama traceability. The second chapter is thesuccession of the story at all times, including fiction and drama texts. The third chapteris the summary of the evolution and the causes about the story, being a total of threeparts. The first section is from the classical novels to the Imitation;the second section isfrom classical novel to legend; the third section is from the drama of Ming to the Qing.
