Decolonization process in the global scale is an important phenomenon in contemporaryworld history after World WarⅡ. National independence and national self-determination, ashumankind’s common desire, continually inspire the world, particularly in the freedom-lovingpeople in the colonial area which is unremitting struggle in order to realize the complete nationalindependence. As was once known as the British Empire of the sun never sets, whose colonialsystem quickly crumble in the short span of twenty years after war. Obviously, the process andeffects of World WarⅡ cannot be separated. In order to Provide a new angle of view for theworld decolonization process’ study to provide a new angle of view, this paper aims at the newpoint of view of World WarⅡ from the British Empire Colonial System to make a great impact,study on the relationship between the war legacy, the British empire disintegration. From anotherangle analysis of a more potential factors, this paper in polar world views basis, it is great changethe collapse of the old colonial system lay the foundation of vitality and sustainability for newinternational relations’ formation in the post-cold war era instead of building of new world system.The paper includes three chapters. The first chapter generally introduces the British Empire,including the development and formation of the British Empire, the dominant empire strategy ofsuzerain government and World WarⅠ’s influence on the Britain colonial system before WorldWarⅡ, etc. Then from aspects the territory status, anti-colonial activities, imperial preference andsterling bloc and so on roughly draw the outline of the empire’s internal states approach the war.The second chapter focuses on the colonial contribution for its suzerain’s victory in World WarⅡ,sorting the various forms of the separation tendency of different types of the colonies and bringinto its suzerain’s pointed measures for the separation tendency, which include crackdown,differentiation and compromise, issuing the colonial development law and carring on theconstitutional system reform, and so on. World WarⅡ is also a new and old global overlordturnover point. During the war, British is closely cooperate with American in the anti-fascistbattlefield, but which is nasty continuously infighting in processes the British colony question.The U.S. force to the penetration of the British forces range is also a conspicuous phenomenon inthis historical period. The third chapter is a summary about the effects of the Second World Warand the relationship between disintegration of the British colonial system after the war. These, therelative decline of the British national power, The formation of the bi-polar pattern the rise ofColonial the national liberation movement, etc., belong to the legacy of World WarⅡ, Theinfluence of those iterated accomplish another profound heritage of the war——the British Empire collapsed.
